Empowering our community through investment, equity, and sustainable development.
Founded in 2017 and formally registered in 2022, Palapye First Development Foundation (PFDF) is a dedicated Community-Based Organisation (CBO).
PFDF advocates for socio-economic development through modern yet inclusive planning, promoting efficient service delivery while safeguarding environmental sustainability. By amplifying local voices and fostering dialogue, we champion policies and practices that build a resilient and equitable Palapye.
To be the leading force in community upliftment within Botswana and the Southern Africa region through investment and collaboration with local institutions, driving sustainable progress for Palapye and beyond.
As a trusted organization of choice, PFDF is committed to empowering the Palapye community by providing socio-economic opportunities, fostering inclusive growth, and ensuring maximum community participation.
Harnessing the energy of our youth and the power of technology to advocate for a smarter Palapye. PFDF is committed to raising awareness and promoting the deployment of local talent to address Palapye’s technological, infrastructural, educational, and health challenges.
With Palapye hosting a Science and Technology University and a technical college, PFDF calls for strong partnerships between academia and industry to cultivate an innovative workforce. We actively assist in zoning, infrastructure, and road planning to ensure modern, well-integrated municipal development.
Cultivating home-grown expertise and tech solutions.
Aligning government town expansion plans with the residential, commercial, and environmental interests of our community.
Unlocking Palapye’s full developmental potential requires transparent, active, and efficient land management. PFDF advocates for accountable municipal growth by proposing comprehensive land governance measures:
Promoting equitable access to land resources through regular auditing, transparent allocation, and productive land utilization.
PFDF is committed to environmental stewardship through active, high-impact circular economy projects across Palapye:
Transforming municipal waste streams into educational, ecological, and economic assets for the Palapye community.
Inclusive community health requires dedicated, safe environments for all demographics. PFDF advocates for transforming unused open areas and floodplain zones into structured recreational hubs:
Safe, drug- and alcohol-free outdoor spaces in unused zones and floodplains for sports and youth development.
Tranquil, accessible park spaces in the floodplain designed for senior citizens to relax and connect with nature.
Repurposing protected natural floodplains into dual-purpose ecological botanical reserves and safe community spaces.

The 2025 Charity Walk was both an awareness and fundraising event. It highlighted pressing social ills such as drug and alcohol abuse, and gender-based violence (GBV).
